Cottage in the Rocky Mountains9 photos
Rock House is a single-bedroom cottage designed by Cutler Anderson Architects in a picturesque location in Alberta, Canada, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains.
The house's main asset is the breathtaking panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains that opens from it. The layout balances captivating distant views with nearby forest and a natural stone garden, creating an important effect of living within the landscape rather than just on its backdrop.
Each facade features large panoramic windows and is carefully integrated into the rock. The material palette includes concrete, Douglas fir wood, glass, and steel.
