Quinta do Fortunato is a farmhouse located in Mealhada, one of the picturesque areas of northern Portugal. Two semi-destroyed buildings, previously used as agricultural structures, were renovated and expanded by architects from the José Luís Veloso studio.

The old stone walls were partially renewed as they were in a state of severe damage.

New additions are made of wood, concrete and glass, which beautifully highlight the rough texture of the original masonry.
