Private residence with an area of 3880 square meters, designed in Vancouver, Canada, by Arno Matis Architecture studio, represents a blend of influences from Eastern Asia and the North American West Coast architecture.
Minimalist finishing details include natural stone flooring, a light steel and wood staircase, suspended ceilings, and fireplaces.
Various types of stone were used for interior decoration. Particular attention was paid to the main fireplace, which was made using large panels of transparent onyx with an internal fluorescent lighting system. Creating such a fireplace required complex collaboration between builders, electricians, lighting suppliers, stone providers, and gas fireplace manufacturers. But the magnificent result was worth all the effort!
