New Life for a Historic Estate in Greece34 photos

A historic semi-ruined estate located on a picturesque slope of Mount Parnassus near the town of Zagora, Greece, has been given a new life thanks to the reconstruction carried out by Architectural Studio 149: Dimitris Philippitzis & Associates.

During the reconstruction, all structures were fully renovated. Special attention was given to open living areas and a landscape-permeable swimming pool.

Parts of the original stone facade of the old two-story villa were used to build a new structure that houses relaxation rooms with balconies offering panoramic views of the Aegean Sea.

On the lower floors and in outbuildings, standard bedrooms and luxury suites with exclusive bathrooms were arranged.

Remnants of past life, carefully restored and enhanced with new architectural interventions, created a residential complex infused with a sense of history and comfort.
