The team at Pedra Líquida created the Armazém Luxury Housing hotel project on the site of a former 600 square meter warehouse in Porto, Portugal. Among the many residential buildings in the area, this structure stands out for its strict facade and spacious open interior.
The center of the interior is a patio filled with natural light. A staircase leads to all six floors, where residential rooms and large common areas are located.
Finishes highlight the duality of the building's history—cold steel and concrete are paired with surfaces made from light wood, delicate fabrics, velvet, and comfortable rugs.
Notable and memorable elements of the project include a terrace facing the cathedral and a unique-shaped penthouse with a slanted ceiling on the top floor.
