Architect's House in London's Urban Jungles28 photos
Architect and designer Henning Stumme designed and built a house for himself and his family in London. The main task was to create a quiet and secluded place within urban life. With minimal buildable area, the architect managed to find an unconventional solution for a house that is functional enough for living and does not violate the overall plan of surrounding development.
At the peak of each irregular sloped ceiling, there is a small window that contributes to natural lighting inside the house. Interiors are done in light tones to visually expand the space and contrast with the rich red-orange exterior cladding.
