The studio Lucas y Hernández-Gil has renovated a house for a married couple with four children, featuring a view of Buen Retiro Park in the center of Madrid, Spain.

However, the layout of the house, which constantly changed over many years, was inconvenient and did not meet modern standards of comfort. The project's authors transformed the internal organization of the rooms, creating a clear and open space with good lighting in every room. The living area—consisting of the living room and office—opens up to Buen Retiro Park, while bedrooms face the inner courtyard. The kitchen, located in the heart of the house, unites both parts.
