House Out of the Box in the Netherlands
House Out of the Box in the Netherlands
The House Out of the Box with a total area of 160 square meters is located at the edge of Zouterrum, Netherlands, next to a park area. Perhaps for this reason, the project's authors, architects from Arjen Reas Architecten and Van Voorden Architectuur studios, drew inspiration from the typology of local rural buildings, primarily taking the image of a country barn as a starting point.
Due to the specifics of its layout, the external spaces are structured in such a way that owners can enjoy the garden all year round. Large openings in the wooden facade create a smooth transition between terraces and interior spaces, allowing light to flood the entire house.
The interior is characterized by sufficient spaciousness while creating a feeling of comfort and variety. Like an elegant suit, the house is well-suited to the needs of its inhabitants. Whether they are sipping wine at a large kitchen island, relaxing by the fireplace, or sunbathing on one of the terraces, the house is primarily a place where one can enjoy life.
