The Tiniest House in London17 photos
The founders of Studiomama bought a former taxi office building at auction in London, UK, which has only 13 square meters of space, to demonstrate the possibilities of creating a tiny living space that is convenient for everyday life.
Custom-made furniture is arranged along the perimeter, with each piece serving multiple functions.
Using one dominant material made the space seamless: floor, walls, and ceiling are perceived as a single unit.
Project authors installed mirrors on both sides of the room to visually expand the space and create a sense of greater spaciousness.
Furniture with pull-out elements unfolds as needed, such as additional seating on the dining table bench or a laptop working surface in the wall cabinet.
Sliding doors painted in pastel shades of yellow, pink, and blue hide storage areas. Each cabinet, differing in size, is designed for specific items, including a sewing machine, games, spice jars, wine bottles, and books.
The pull-out bed is installed at the narrowest end of the triangular room. It can be tucked away to free up additional space; when unfolded, it reveals two bookshelves and a nightstand.
