Studio Hazelbaker Rush designed an interesting house on the outskirts of El Paso, Texas, USA. The Franklin Mountain House residence merges with the rocky terrain on its lower levels, while the upper floor stands out as a bright white volume. Located 244 meters above the city, the house offers its owners daily panoramic views of the landscape below.
The lower level of the residence houses technical rooms, while the kitchen, living room, and dining area are located above. The upper volume contains bedrooms and a family play area. The house also features several outdoor zones, including a terrace by the pool and an open living room where one can enjoy spectacular sunsets every evening. The interior is dominated by traditional materials for this region, such as leather, steel, and wood.
