Architectural bureau Laurynas Žakevičius realized the project of a private house in Vilnius, Lithuania. The residence with an area of 195 square meters is built on a cozy green plot covered with old pines.

The interior creates an unusual atmosphere: the changing ceiling heights and skylights set the mood. Fragments of the old house are preserved in the form of brick walls present in each room on the first floor. The composition of randomly placed windows of various sizes decorates the living room and creates a play of light and shadow. The overall look is completed by concrete floors, a minimalist staircase made of black steel, and roughcast walls.
