Interior of a House in the Forest in Lithuania

Design studio Dizaino Virtuve created monochromatic living spaces in a house on stilts located in the countryside in Lithuania.
Minimalist interiors are inspired by the snowy forest landscape surrounding the house, which thanks to large floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides of the house becomes part of the interior space.
The first floor includes an open-plan kitchen and living area separated by a staircase with a black glass balustrade.
The walls and sharp ceiling of the first floor are clad in white-painted wood, complementing the natural environment around the house and contrasting with the oiled oak floors.
Black marble countertops near the sink and kitchen worktops contrast with white cabinets and an island, continuing the monochromatic scheme used throughout the house.
Elegant geometric lampshades and exposed light bulbs hang from the ceiling above sofas, adding warmth to the space.
The owners' bedroom and bathroom on the basement level are separated by a glass wardrobe, which simultaneously keeps the space open and preserves a sense of intimacy.
A concrete wall behind the bed is clad with ash wood strips, creating a distinctive accent echoing the color palette of the bathroom.
Child's bedroom walls are covered with wallpaper featuring a pattern — this is the only room in the house where color is present.
