Villa Vatnan with an area of 250 square meters in Trondheim, Norway, was built by the studio Nordic Office of Architecture as a realization of the clients' dream of their ideal home.
The simple concept is supported by the simplicity of material use. Oak floors, exposed concrete walls combined with wooden ceiling panels and plush fur covering the chairs create a slightly austere and cozy atmosphere of a reliable northern home. The concrete structure provides building airtightness, while 2.8-meter-high ceilings allowed for installing panoramic windows offering a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape.
