Minimalist Tropical Architecture in Thailand
The Maluna Villa is an exclusive residence for rental, located on the northern coast of Koh Samui island, Thailand. The project designed by Sicart & Smith Architects with a total area of 750 square meters includes 7 bedrooms arranged around a central garden, creating a sense of spaciousness and openness that guests experience immediately upon entering the villa grounds.
Oriented toward the north and featuring large window openings that virtually erase the boundary between interior and exterior spaces, the building benefits from excellent ventilation. The roof has large overhangs equipped with blinds to shield the facades from the sun. There are no entrance doors in the rooms; the living area opens on three sides toward the island's magnificent nature, where a gentle sea breeze brings coolness and comfort, just like the white terrazzo flooring underfoot.
The combination of an ideal location, cutting-edge design, luxurious finishing, and thoughtful layout has created a modern beach villa that embodies the light and relaxing lifestyle that tropical tranquility brings to the air of Koh Samui island.
