Family Residence in Poland
The project was developed by the studio mode:lina. The form of construction—two blocks with a sloped roof and an asymmetric garage cube—is a modern interpretation of a traditional residential house. This design was driven by the clients' desire: family members, parents and their two children, wanted to live independently from one another. Hence the idea of dividing the building into two parts arose. The parent zone on the second floor allows adults to enjoy peace, while children can "go crazy" in their own "private home".
The first floor serves as a shared area for all residents of the house. It features a kitchen opening to the garden and a spacious living room with an attic where the library is located. The bookshelves are made from solid oak logs borrowed from one of the historic mansions. However, the most unusual feature of the project is a window in the corridor that overlooks a unique car parked in the garage owned by the homeowners.
