Two-Level Apartments in Sydney's Suburbs
Work on the design of apartments in Sydney's suburbs (Australia) was carried out by the Josephine Hurley Architecture studio. The 300 square meter residence is located in a former warehouse building that is part of the city's historical heritage. Built in the 1920s, it originally belonged to a tea factory and in recent years served as an office for an advertising agency. The new function of the building required significant changes. The residence occupies the top two floors of the building and has access to the roof, where a relaxation area was designed. Architects preserved all historical features of the building, combining them with modern interior style. Columns and ceiling beams remained part of the updated space. It was important not to overdo the decoration, as requested by the owner of the residence, an architect and musician. The background was chosen in white and gray tones, which are practical and durable.
