Architectural bureau Standard Studio implemented the project of a small house on the island of Ibiza in Spain. The building with a total area of only 45 square meters is located in the mountains and was previously used as a stable and storage. Today's renovated 200-year-old structure belongs to the owner of Ibiza Interiors and serves as a guest house and showroom. To preserve the historical character of the building, architects used natural materials. Authentic ceiling beams and stone walls were preserved, complemented with traditional elements for the island such as concrete and white plastered walls. Various brands are present in the interior, from modern to vintage. Water in the house comes from a private well, while solar panels handle heating, floor warming, and electricity. A yoga space is provided on the roof, with fruit trees growing around. The result is an impressive holiday home where contrast permeates everything. Old and new, minimalist and cozy, light and dark interweave into one another, while the breathtaking mountain view contributes to a great mood.
