This house on the lake in the city of Seattle, USA, was designed by architects Vandeventer + Carlander Architects. The building is constructed on water and, at the owner's request, has an inverted layout. The lower floor with a magnificent view includes the main bedroom, walk-in closet, bathroom and office on one side, and a guest bedroom on the other. The second level contains the main living spaces. In the eastern part are the kitchen, terrace and relaxation area with access to a barbecue deck. On the western side are the living room and dining room, also with access to external spaces. Natural materials in light tones were used in the finish. White walls are complemented by surfaces and furniture made of oak and limestone tiles in the bathroom. The exterior facade is composed of durable and low-maintenance components. The second floor surface is finished with white terrazzo, and the lower exterior walls are clad with horizontal strips of alder.
