House Over the Ocean in Australia
Rising high above the ocean, this house in Australia is an excellent example of architectural possibilities. The building, designed by F2 Architecture team, is located on top of a concrete platform supported by a 13-meter-high pillar. The bridge facing the hill slope is the only way to enter the building. Glass railings around the pathway and balcony provide safety and protection from wind. Large panoramic windows inside offer a stunning view of the ocean coastline. A suspended corner fireplace in the living room creates warmth and cozy atmosphere during cold winter days or evening hours.
The compact space of the house includes a spacious living room and dining area, bedroom, and bathroom. The kitchen, bed, and storage spaces are built into the walls. The bathroom located in the central part of the house is hidden behind a curved wooden partition, separating the space between the bedroom and living room. The facade facing the hill is closed off to maintain privacy, while the walls facing the ocean are entirely made of glass. As a result, the living area floats above the landscape, creating a sense of solitude and freedom, observing the vastness of water, horizon, and distant lands.
