Modern Reconstruction of an Old Cottage in the USA
It's hard to believe, but a house built in the 1960s can look like a modern new construction! This cottage was built back in 1961 in Houston, but recently designers worked hard to transform the outdated property. The original white brick facade was enhanced with black vertical louvers and a metal entrance door. The kitchen was initially very small, and the space was expanded through smart storage organization, replacing bulky cabinets and wardrobes. Wooden ceiling panels in the living room are another nod to the past, highlighting one of the project's principles: creating visual continuity between the original house and its current appearance.
