The main advantage of this house is its distinguished age. This small house in New York state is over a hundred years old. During renovation, interior designer Sean Henderson decided not to overload the interior with modern elements, but instead focus on its architectural heritage and magnificent surroundings — there is little furniture, but thanks to the white beam ceiling, there's plenty of air, and views from the windows without curtains open onto a spacious backyard. Returning to the decor, everything here is minimalist yet not sterile; there are both vintage and modern furniture pieces: a kitchen table on wheels, chairs reminiscent of eggs. The interior features wood and various metal fixtures, bringing us back to the fact that this is truly a country house interior. The yard is also very restrained and minimalist: a barn, a pond, and two pairs of lounge chairs by the water — nothing here should distract from the beauty of the forest and the pleasures of country life.
