House as an Extension of the Landscape
If you look at this house in Norway from afar, you can see how beautifully it fits into the surrounding landscape. Just as mountains, forests, and fields complement it, the house complements them in return. In terms of color palette, however, it's the opposite: the warm-toned interior contrasts with the harsh nature. The furniture and white wall finishes, on the other hand, are a pure continuation of the surrounding world. This is especially noticeable in the bedroom photo — the bed looks like an extension of the snow-covered hill outside the window. Furniture in natural tones, textiles, and mustard-colored details act like a glowing candle, filling the house with light and warmth. This is a very versatile yet minimalist living space!
