Elegant Modern Chalet in the Alps15 photos

The owners of this chalet in French Val d'Isere are not among those who love traditional Alpine mountain cottage design. That is why they commissioned designer Nicola O'Mara to create a modern interior for their winter home, which meant 'no skis in the corners'—as the designer recalls. Instead, soft tweed and wool fabrics were used, and the finish featured metal, wood, and glass. Additionally, a key requirement was the ability to host guests—spacious living room with dining area is perfectly adapted for large parties, and 4 bedrooms with amenities allow hosting large groups for several days.
