Glass House by the River
A modern glass house located on the gentle slope of the Westport River in Massachusetts, designed for family relaxation and guest gatherings. The architecture reflects the lifestyle of homeowners who love to cook and spend time in large company with friends. RUHL WALKER Architects designed two long living blocks with glass walls inside the house. At the upper level of the residence, there are a living room, dining room and kitchen that open to an open terrace. On this floor is also a study which can be used as a guest room, and the main bedroom.
Openness of space and multifunctionality of rooms, as well as active use of glazing create the impression that the house is much larger than its actual size.
