House on Lake Shore in Chile

A house on the shore of Lake Vittelrika in the northern part of Chile is presented by the architecture bureau planmaestro. It is built on a plot with a slight incline and surrounded by a picturesque forest. The client wanted to preserve all the trees, despite the fact that they slightly block the view of the lake and volcano. This determined the final shape of the house, in which various functional zones are designed in separate "wings." All bedrooms of family members are located with a view of the lake and have access to the lawn between the house and the beach. Guest bedrooms face the forest and are equipped with autonomous heating for convenience. The main block contains the living area with a living room, dining room, kitchen and TV viewing room. The service section includes a laundry room, storage and staff bedrooms. All four wings intersect each other, forming an X-shaped structure, and the entrance hall is designed in the center of the house.
