House in Nashville for a Creative Family
In 2011, singer Holly Williams and artist Chris Colman began searching for their dream home. They really loved their spacious loft in Nashville, USA, but the young couple definitely wanted to add some charm of antiquity to their living space. When they first saw this place, they realized that a spacious old house with two fireplaces was exactly what they were looking for. Holly also wanted the interior to be timeless, with unique items full of history. Neutral black and white were mostly used in the finishing, with elegant color accents in the form of russet and red. It would be hard to imagine a home for creative people without a wall that serves as one large canvas for drawing with chalk. Light fixtures resembling steampunk style beautifully highlighted the kitchen with a fireplace, reminiscent of kitchens in grand aristocratic houses of England from the era before last. The entire house is full of wonderful things that tell both personal stories of the owners and remind us of the spirit of past eras. A great project!
