Bright and Unusual Design of a Historic Apartment in New York
Young and talented designer Meg Sharp loves renovation projects of historic housing in the best neighborhoods of New York. That is why when she was offered to take on an apartment in a 1920s building on Manhattan, previously occupied by actor David Duchovny, she accepted the challenge with great enthusiasm. The new owners received a quite extravagant living space: a screaming color palette of reds and burgundy shades, a complex labyrinth of small rooms, an abundance of strange details.
Due to this, the owners asked the designer to open up the space as much as possible, fill it with light colors and restore classical architectural details that were hidden under a thick layer of plaster. As a result, Meg not only restored the former glory of this luxurious base but also filled the house with playful and unconventional furniture and decor items. Check it out!
