Modern Apartment in Central London9 photos
Architects TG-STUDIO combined two separate apartments on the second floor of a brick house built in the 1880s in central London. The Queens Gate project features four bedrooms with bathrooms and a spacious living area formed by merging three rooms. Cold concrete walls and ceilings are paired with warm wooden floors, marble bathroom finishes for the owners, and modern furniture that does not overcrowd the space.
The apartment residents frequently travel to their homeland in Libya, so it was extremely important for them that the home exuded a cozy atmosphere and the interior matched the classical building. Moreover, as the owner runs a network of design furniture stores in Africa, she personally selected the decor.
