The apartment was designed for a young man passionate about the East, specifically Japan. This became the starting point for creating an interior in this style. The overall layout of the existing apartment did not correspond to the fundamentals of Japanese philosophy, but by using techniques of space formation employed by Japanese masters, it was possible to give the interior a certain spirit of asceticism and restraint. The main space of the apartment is divided not into rooms, but into "functional zones" using screens, traditional arches, and floor level changes.

Screens make the apartment space light and transparent; rearranging them allows for updating the interior almost daily. A rice lamp, tatami made of straw, cushions resembling stones, and a cozy corner created away from the noise and hustle of modern life. The interior is given a special color with Japanese samurai armor, which greets guests right at the entrance. These are authentic pieces, specially brought from Japan. Lighting in a Japanese-style interior is also part of the composition. A Japanese home cannot be immersed in darkness. Soft and diffused light should highlight the few items of interior design, emphasizing their uniqueness and importance.
