Apartment of 180 sq. meters for a young family in Kyiv

Designer and architect Alexey Venediktov, representing the studio Special Project Venediktov, designed the interior of an apartment for a young family with a child in Kyiv. The residence of 180 square meters is located on the 14th floor of a residential complex, and its panoramic windows face two sides of the building. The apartment space is well-lit, distinctive in character and individuality.

Replanning of the apartments was required to create an open-day zone with an island kitchen, main bedroom with a bathroom and walk-in closet, children's bedroom, music room, and home cinema, as well as an entrance hall with a wardrobe, laundry room, and guest bathroom.

Customers wanted to not only use the existing distinctive features of the space but also preserve the textured concrete surfaces, highlighting them in a new context. Architects proposed minimalism with natural materials and a restrained color palette with color accents.

Large spatial elements in the interior, such as a load-bearing column, wooden podium, island kitchen, wall made of concrete blocks, and glass partitions, are separate elements against the background of unifying floor and ceiling surfaces.
