Loft in Tel Aviv
Architect Gabrielle Toledano, head of the studio Toledano+architects, presented a loft project for a young couple in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The bedrooms face outward, towards century-old trees that peek into the windows. The central element of the apartment is the "box", a fully functional object that includes a children's bathroom, wardrobe, and a relaxation area with a bench. It is clad in oak wood, just like the kitchen area next to it. The kitchen also features elements made of reflective stainless steel. A continuous white lacquered bookshelf connects the entire living space and creates various storage zones. The floor, ceiling, and the living room wall are left in their original rough concrete finish. LED lamps installed at an angle disrupt the calm, clean, and square design, infusing it with energy and movement.
