Apartment with Port View in Barcelona

The interior of this stylish 55 square meter apartment was designed by Cometa Architects studio. The residence is located near the yacht marina in the Sant Marti district of Barcelona, Spain. A tribute to the sea and port forms the basis of the project. First of all, architects removed all internal partitions and opened up the front outer wall to create unobstructed space and views, crafting an architectural journey that requires only the essentials.

The apartment's interior resembles a yacht, with light gray micro-cement finishes inspired by unfinished concrete docks nearby. Copper pipes, fittings and lighting fixtures are displayed openly, offering warm glow and serving as perhaps the only decorative element in the residence.

Two clean white volumes, a kitchen island and bathtub are arranged in an open space, creating the impression of bold floating above the floor, forming an elegant and exclusive atmosphere within minimal architecture.

Space-saving is a key feature of this project, so beds, sofas and wooden furniture are custom-designed and built into the podium. Radiators are replaced with underfloor heating throughout the apartment.
