Apartment with 300 sq. meters in Kyiv

The project River Stone was created by ZOOI Design Studio for a family with a young daughter. The apartment is located in Kyiv and designed in a style that can be described as clean minimalism. The clients wanted their home to be modern, spacious and bright. The 300 square meter residence combines three apartments—a one-bedroom, a two-bedroom and a three-bedroom—occupying half of the floor.

The living area is conditionally divided by pillars, technical track lights from XAL factory, color palette and textures. The kitchen is designed fundamentally, while the island structure was chosen to support various ways of spending time: here you can have breakfast with family or enjoy a bottle of wine with friends. The dining area is provided near panoramic windows for lunch and dinner. A large modular sofa from the Italian manufacturer Lema in coffee with milk color is installed in the living room, and all textiles including carpets and curtains were selected to match this color.

Custom cabinetry was made for the project. In the bedroom, it has an open structure or is crafted from semi-transparent materials to create a feeling of spaciousness. The bedroom is combined with the bathroom, which is decorated with white marble tiles.

The child's room is divided into two zones: for rest and play/study. The perimeter of the room and the desk are designed as cute little houses, which were conceptualized by designers from ZOOI. The same theme is used for the sleeping alcove and bathroom. Although all necessary elements fit into the child's room, there is still plenty of air inside, so one wants to 'chat' in it with their feet. For that purpose, a transparent suspended rocking chair is provided!

All connecting spaces, corridors and passageways are used efficiently—here are hidden storage systems, wardrobes and storerooms.
