Black and white in Barcelona apartment

The Badr Apartment project, executed by the studio Pepe Gascon Arquitectura, is located in Barcelona, Spain.

The apartments are situated in a district offering a fantastic view of Paseo San Joan. From the living spaces' windows, one can enjoy a picturesque perspective towards this famous boulevard.

As a result of the renovation, the living space of the apartment can delight its inhabitants with two different views: a street view from the kitchen and living room, as well as a scenic inner courtyard view from the hallway and bedroom.

The semi-transparent black glass surface separates the hall from the rest of the rooms, visually enlarging the living space through its mirror reflection.

The kitchen features an open layout, with its snow-white walls serving as a perfect backdrop for paintings arranged freely on low shelves. The color palette of the apartments is built on a contrasting combination of white (walls and ceiling) and black furniture pieces. A lamp shaped like a hemisphere, minimalist in style, hangs above the wooden dining table.
