Small Swedish Apartment with Loft Bedroom (44 sqm)
Small apartment size always presents a challenge to owners — what to sacrifice for comfort. Owners of this small apartment (44 sqm) in Stockholm had to compromise only in one area — they placed the bedroom area under the ceiling, which created a workspace desk under the bed. The small kitchen is located between the bedroom-cabin and the living-dining room, connected to the hallway. Interestingly, even in the smallest Swedish apartments, there is a small cozy balcony where people like to spend time with a warm drink. Did you know that Swedes have a special word for the tradition of taking breaks from work to drink coffee? This tradition is called "fika".
