Apartment for the Customer's Mother in Kyiv

Architect Olha Wood, previously known as Olga Akulova DESIGN, presented the AFM Interior project. This apartment is located on the 28th floor of a 30-story building in Kyiv. The view from its windows overlooks the Dnieper River and the botanical garden.

The apartment was designed for the client's mother. The technical brief required vibrant color combinations, a space for yoga practice, two pull-out chairs for the mother's friends in case they wish to stay over, and plenty of flowers and even butterflies.

The color palette from the window view was brought into the interior, where a garden of several varieties of Rapunzel from Zinco was placed.

The kitchen island from Bulthoop was brought into the apartment using climbers before the window systems were installed. The kitchen was placed on both sides of the island, individually created by Paspolini. The client's mother also requested a dish dryer above the sink, which was integrated into the metal shelf system above the countertop. Similar shelves were placed on the opposite side of the living room, near the pink Moroso sofa, oriented toward the window and garden.

By passing through the partition adjacent to the sofa, we enter the bedroom, which is separated from the guest area by a custom-made bookcase. The bedroom and bathroom are separated by a wooden double-door. Moving toward the bathroom, we pass by the Poliform Ego wardrobe. The guest bathroom, laundry room, and storage area are located next to the living room.
