Apartment on the Canal in Venice

Studio Marcante-Testa | UdA Architetti is working on the renovation of a residential building in one of the most beautiful cities in the world — Venice, Italy. The project includes the design of communal areas, including the vestibule and staircase, as well as individual apartments, with work on the first one already completed.

Thus, the concept of the project was primarily based on the "reinvention" of interior decoration, which represents a subtle stylization of the Venetian spirit.

Metal structures painted in various colors serve as a kind of diaphragms or dividers, zoning the space. Tinted glass partitions, wooden panels coated with pale plaster, brass frames surrounding window openings, hanging lamps made of Murano glass, muted tones and rich hues — all these carefully planned interior details do not literally imitate historical models, but rather infuse the apartment with reflections of lagoon and echoes of the magnificent Venice.
