Architectural Workspace in Sofia15 photos
Another Studio transformed a regular apartment in Sofia, Bulgaria, into a personalized workspace.
To achieve this, they removed all non-load-bearing walls in the former apartment, turning it into an open-plan studio. The architects used plywood to create new partitions that function as a system of various shelves, compartments, sections, and drawers. Because these structures act as openings, they provide visual connectivity between different zones. Designers also added light white curtains to allow for privacy when needed.
The studio includes two main work areas, a modeling zone, a conference room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and two balconies.
The flooring also divides the space through a combination of oak parquet and decorative ceramic tiles, which are associated with scattered patterned rugs throughout the area, creating a home-like atmosphere.
