Studio Block Architects restored a townhouse in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. A family residence of 261 square meters holds great significance for its owners, embodying their persistent efforts and dedication toward achieving their dream.

As a result of the restoration, the residence became more functional, open, and modern, seamlessly blending old and new, public and private spaces. The main materials used in the interior are wood, brick, concrete, and metal, while live vegetation fills the space with vibrant colors and fresh fragrance.

One interesting solution was the use of metal mesh forming small cubes, which securely protect the interior space while keeping it open. This metallic framework is also used inside the house. For example, the old concrete staircase was replaced with a new design made of wood and steel rods.
