An apartment of 197 square meters in Barcelona, Spain, designed by Francesc Rifé Studio as a clean and minimalist space.
The entrance serves as a prelude to the apartment, featuring a bright and open space. The long L-shaped corridor hides bathrooms and connects several rooms through a system of sliding panels. These are perceived more as movable walls than doors.
The kitchen is designed as a box within the apartment's volume. With two entries, it becomes a flexible space that can be connected to the living room or function independently when needed.
The living room is divided into three zones — the dining area, defined by a large table made of black oak; the living zone that opens onto a terrace clad in Brazilian walnut wood; and a side space combining the library, fireplace, and sofa.
Wood used in the interior (sliding doors, floor coverings, and partially ceilings) was specially treated to achieve a more neutral color tone. To complement this material, ceramic panels in gray tones were used in the kitchen as worktops and in bathrooms.
Wood is also the main material for bedroom decoration. In the owners' bedroom, a shelf was designed to transform the wide windowsill into a functional element of the wardrobe.
