Digital Architecture firm Jordan Parnass proposed an interesting solution for decorating a small space in the East Village area of New York, USA. The client purchased a studio with an area of 46 square meters back in 1999, but did not rush to move into it. Over time, the apartment was filled with working documents, numerous art pieces, and toys of a big boy. The flat became cluttered with stuff, making it obvious that a reconfiguration was needed.

The central element in the interior is a wooden box offering many storage options for personal belongings and including a kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area upstairs. The remaining space was kept as open and free as possible to allow for various scenarios. The renovated studio meets the client's requirements, is functional and flexible in use, full of light, and has a unique character.
