Studio GASPARBONTA designed the interior of an apartment for a man in Budapest, Hungary. The client was looking for the perfect living space among many options on the real estate market. His main requirements were central location, small area, and compact layout. This 62-square-meter apartment suited him perfectly, and the architects succeeded in creating a unique atmosphere and functionality within it.
By preserving and exposing the original brick wall, architects softened its impact with simple geometry, wooden, iron, and glass structures. Distinctive masculine elements include the owner's personal items such as vinyl records, strong alcoholic beverages, and excellent architectural photographs by his grandfather. Thus, an ideal "lair" for a bachelor was created.
