Apartment in Kyiv by Oxana Dolgopyatova29 photos
Architect Oxana Dolgopyatova presented the Alise project — an apartment for a young family in Kyiv, designed according to the wishes of a creative and charismatic couple. The clients dreamed of a practical and distinctive space in a classic style, ready to incorporate some existing decor items. Based on the clients' preferences, the layout and overall zoning of the apartment were changed. Each room was given a unique feature without compromising the general style.
Primary inspiration for the architect came from the apartment's owners. However, a carpet also played an important role. A carpet from Soviet childhood, on which everyone would examine patterns before going to sleep. Initially, it was even planned to find such a picture-style design, but then its color palette became the starting point for interior decoration. Many elements in this apartment were realized by domestic craftsmen following the architect's sketches, except for some ready-made furniture items designed by Ukrainian designers. Finish materials, radiators, tiles, plumbing fixtures, lighting, table, chairs, textiles, and most of the decor were selected from European manufacturers.
