The entrance hall divides the apartment into public and private zones. A distinctive feature of the entrance is an intricately crafted wooden lattice wall — a modern interpretation of the mashrabiya, a typical element of traditional Islamic architecture that was very common in Tel Aviv during the 1950s. Its purpose is to create a boundary between interior and exterior spaces, while ensuring privacy but not blocking the flow of air and light.
