Apartment with Sliding Panels in Valencia

One of the main challenges faced by Francesc Rifé Studio architects while working on this apartment project in Valencia, Spain, was functionally dividing the spatial zones while preserving the sense of substantial length within the residence. The uniqueness of the project lies in the use of sliding doors that serve to separate spaces; at the same time, their panels form the surface of corridor walls or built-in furniture. To address this challenge, a nearly invisible guiding system was developed, enabling the creation of surface systems that evoke a feeling of calm and visual clarity.
