Apartment in a Historic House in Italy

The architects of Archiplan studio renovated a 230 square meter apartment located in a historic building in Mantua, Italy. The project explores the theme of a luxurious home, considering that luxury lies in the spiritual essence of space and the sensuality of materials used.

Old and new spaces coexist in balance, where no period of time has priority over another. The relationship between opposites is understood as a process of searching for beauty, which resides in the ambiguity and complexity of things.
