This vibrant 112-square-meter apartment in Hong Kong belongs to architects Vincent Lim and Elaine Lu, who founded their own studio Lim + Lu while still living in New York. The couple decided that their Hong Kong home would serve as a showroom, displaying their distinctive style.
The apartment also features furniture designed by the couple, including rectangular lounges and pastel-colored sofas and geometric coffee tables.
Lim and Lu removed several internal walls, replacing them with black-framed sliding glass doors that let natural light reach even the most secluded corners of the apartment.
The living room is dominated by soft shades of pale pink and blue; the adjacent study stands out with its vibrant patterned tiles.
Another example is the bathroom, where the floor and parts of the walls are tiled with hexagonal white and gray tiles, transitioning into bright jade-colored panels at the top of the walls. Metallic taps, vanity legs, and a large round mirror frame add noble golden accents to the bathroom interior.
The main bedroom is rendered in a nearly monochrome palette, but the adjacent spacious wardrobe stands out with bright blue walls and pink curtains.
