Apartment in Kyiv by Andriy Sokruta Studio16 photos

Design studio of Andriy Sokruta has decorated the space of a small two-room apartment in Kyiv, located in the new residential complex «Lipinka». The total area of the apartment is only 63 square meters. The design was developed for a family couple to live in. Based on the collected data and clients' wishes, the main task of the project was to find an optimal layout solution, as the layout proposed by the developer at the time of sale was extremely inconvenient.

White flooring was used in the finishing and maximum amount of suspended furniture was applied to make the interior appear more spacious and less cluttered. Although the room size is small and the walls are dark in color, the interior still feels bright due to white parquet flooring on the floor. The low ceiling height was visually elongated by tall doors reaching up to the ceiling, without even a top lintel.

The bedroom was divided into several functional zones: the sleeping area, a small workspace with shelves for documents and books, as well as a technical room behind a mirror partition where the washing machine, water filtration systems and other equipment were placed.
