Apartment from the team of architects rosu-ciocodeica is located in the very center of Bucharest, Romania. The 120 square meter space with a panoramic view of the urban landscape meets the flexible and dynamic lifestyle of the owner's family. The characteristics of the homeowners became key elements in the new functional and spatial scheme. Architects designed open day areas and secluded rooms for nighttime rest. The kitchen and office merge with the living room as two rectangular volumes with a dining area in the center, becoming the 'hot spot' of the apartment. Thus, functions blend into a unified form, where wood surfaces cover storage areas, providing fluidity and unity of space. Dark elements of gray metal are used in contrast to separate different zones: the entrance hall, kitchen area, and living room. If necessary, glass walls can help isolate the rest of the apartment, creating a multi-functional hall that can be used as an office or guest bedroom. Another important interior element is the nearly invisible wardrobe in the corridor, covered with mirrors on three sides. The overall color palette of the space creates a neutral background for small objects and personal items that personalize each private room.
