Original Space Zoning in Barcelona Apartment

Architects of RÄS Studio used an unusual approach in decorating the La Carmina apartments in Barcelona (Spain). By fully exposing the skeleton of the apartment in an old building, revealing the brickwork with traces of ancient doorways and ceiling beams, they placed two white cubes in the resulting empty space. The boxes, clad in contrast to the old walls with bright white tiles, accommodate bathrooms and simultaneously divide the apartment into different functional zones.
